Bas Armagnac Dartilalongue 1979 is produced using the Charantais system, recognized by the 1972 decree as being of superior quality thanks to the elimination of impurities, resulting in a more refined and elegant eaux-de-vie. The minimum aging period of 7-8 years takes place in new 400-liter Gascon oak barrels.

Bas Armagnac Dartilalongue 1979 is one of the superb spirits from the Dartilalongue house. Founded in 1838 by Pascal Dartigalongue in Nogaro, in the region of the finest crus, it is today considered the oldest Bas Armagnac house. For five generations, the family has distilled noble white wines annually and aged the Armagnacs in oak barrels for many years. The grapes used are Ugni blanc, Baco, and Folle Blanche. Each vintage is unique and has its own personality. Its characteristics change from year to year due to aging and the famous 'angel's share' (a 3 to 4% loss of alcohol through evaporation in the wood each year). Bottling is done by hand very regularly, and the bottling date is clearly indicated on the back label.
