Already in the late 1970s, several selected clones of Sangiovese were planted in Poggio Rosso. Poggio Rosso is the fruit of a careful selection of this grape from several parcels of the eponymous vineyard and today represents the excellence of the San Felice terroir. A wine of great concentration and elegance, produced in limited quantities and, especially in the best vintages, aged for approximately 20 months in 500-liter tonneaux and another 12 months in bottle.
