When to drink it: 3-5 years
Serving Temperature: 10-12 °C
Recommended glass: Medium cup (red / young white) Calice medio (rossi/bianchi giovani)
Recommended pairings:

Visual tasting

Crystalline, straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections, quite consistent.

Olfactory tasting

Intense and quite complex, with fruity notes of pear and apricot, a faint hint of classic almond, and a hint of wildflowers. Quite refined.

Taste tasting

Dry, quite warm, quite soft, it is savoury and dynamic with a good balance resulting from the excellent fusion between freshness and salinity but also from the excellent nose-mouth correspondence.

What to pair wine with Friulano Schiopetto 2024

Friulano Schiopetto is excellent as an aperitif, and pairs well with San Daniele prosciutto, egg dishes, and asparagus. It pairs interestingly with Asian cuisine.

Contains sulfites.

Friulano Schiopetto is the pioneer of all subsequent Friulian wines. First bottled in 1965, it embodies the essence of its winery and is at the forefront of its time. It is a traditional wine with strong character and personality, yet one that opened the doors of winemaking to the future. It is made exclusively from Friulano grapes, a historic varietal of the Collio Goriziano area, planted in a breezy hillside location in predominantly marly soils of Eocene origin. These grapes are harvested by hand, gently pressed, and then subjected to a brief period of decantation in a completely sulfur-free environment. The resulting wine is rich in minerality and flavor, a concentration of quality that perfectly represents the terroir. Excellent as an aperitif, it is best served at 10-12 degrees Celsius.
