Vernaccia Di Oristano Silvio Carta Riserva is a seductive, captivating lady with a thousand-year history. It was born and developed at the pace of the first indigenous populations of Sardinia. The origins and meaning of its name are a story within a story: an exotic tra, a Latin translation of spring and therefore rebirth, and, meaning of the place. The Carthaginians were already skilled winemakers of this nectar as sacred as the land from which it originates. This is evidenced by archaeological finds from excavations in Tharros, an ancient coastal city from the Punic era a few kilometers from Oristano. From the early 1950s to today, Silvio Carta's focus has been primarily on promoting this wine, the oldest in this area of Sardinia, even boasting supposed healing properties. A complex, almost alchemical, and captivating wine, Silvio Carta's Vernaccia is the perfect expression of this enchanted corner of the world.
